A joyful Shabbat experience for the whole congregation, geared towards families Kindergarten and up, with services led by Rabbi David Eshel, Rabbi Leah Lewis, Cantor Lisa Peicott, and songleader Danny Rajiman. Enjoy an informal Shabbat dinner at 5 PM and help assemble Treat Yourself kits as we partner with a Sense of Home to distribute to families displaced by the LA wildfires. Our service begins at 6 PM during which we will celebrate October and November birthdays and anniversaries.
Volunteer project: Help Assemble “Treat Yourself” Kits for Fire-Displaced Families
A Sense of Home’s Disaster Relief Program helps families displaced by the LA wildfires bring comfort, function, and a sense of home to their new spaces by providing free furniture and home goods. On November 14th's shabbat dinner, you'll have the opportunity to add an extra layer of care by assembling Treat Yourself kits — small bundles of self-care items (including notes of kindness) to be distributed alongside the furniture. Join us in assembling these kits for families who have lost so much. It’s a simple but warm reminder to survivors that they have not been forgotten and that they matter.
